We should avoid "via" and use "over" or "through" instead.
Replace "via" in documentation and use "over" or "through" instead.

"via" is Latin. Many people get its meaning wrong. So, for clarity, it's better to stick to the English equivalent. "via" translates to "by way of" (it's actually the Latin word for "road) but can also often be replaced with "with" and other words. (I studied Latin in college and like it, but it's not helpful in technical writing.)
