As a developer, I believe in the value of being open and sharing. For that reason, I devote my time to share my learnings and the solutions that I come up with through talks, blog posts, and most importantly, open source projects.

Although I do it without expecting anything in return, most of the times I get a rewarding feeling when I see other developers using it in your projects and contributing to it.

One of the projects that I’m the most proud of having bootstrapped and thar I’ll keep maintaining is Tuist. I envisioned Tuist as a tool to help teams that work with Xcode projects to scale them up easily and with joy. Although it’s been two years already, there is an exciting journey ahead and a lot of features that we’d like to build into the tool.

I'm also maintainer of XcodeProj, a Swift library that many other libraries and tools leverage as an API to Xcode projects. I developed it as a core piece of Tuist, and keep updating it with every new version of Xcode.

As I'm sure you're aware, there's a lot of work that goes into maintaining an Open Source project — not just the software development, but responding to the issues and chat messages, reviewing pull requests and giving guidance, writing high quality documentation, testing, publishing releases, improving developer experience, and much more. Your financial support enables me to take time off from enployee work to stay on top of these tasks and keep moving these projects and their communities forward.

I don’t have short-term plans to sustain my life with open source work, but if that’s ever possible, I’ll gladly take the step.

Thanks for helping me spend more time making and improving open source software!
