I work on various game development related projects in my spare time, with a focus on low-level programming. My favorites are anything related to classic game consoles and handhelds. You'll find games, game engines, development tools, debuggers, hacking utilities, and emulators just to name a few. I've always been something of a polyglot, so expect to see a lot of different programming languages and design patterns.

My hope with the GitHub Sponsors program is to finally become a truly independent game developer. Your sponsorship can help support my indie game studio, Blipjoy! I even have a cute logo.

Some of the small games I made in the past can be found on my portfolio page. Most of the source code is released under the MIT license, but see each project for specific details.

My "dream project" is making an NES game like no one has ever seen before. A few years ago I wrote a series of blog articles documenting the research that went into making this kind of graphical quality on the old hardware:

This is, of course, simulated, as you can tell by the macOS title bar. The full article series is linked below.

Please join me in making incredible gaming experiences that will be unforgettable! Thank you! ☺️

Making a game is a lot of hard work. Sponsoring is a great way to support your favorite creators! I have a few technical goals for my project. First, making it playable. It's still early days, but every step toward this goal is another opportunity to make something for everyone to enjoy! Specifically, I am working on terrain generation and multiplayer netcode.
