I am a mypy core team member and do research in everything from quantum computing to programming languages to machine learning.

I am fascinated by programming language theory and so in my spare time I work on mypy, a static type checker for Python. Within mypy, I work on Windows support, packaging type information, and general type system improvements and bug fixes. I am the author of PEP 561: Distributing and Packaging Type Information which specifies how type checkers look for type information in packages.

I also run https://apt.cli.rs, an APT repo of cool command line tools in written in Rust.

Thank you for your consideration, I am very grateful for any support!

Best,
Ethan
