Allow users to create subsets or views of data from a given query,

Then provide them with the tools to make comparisons between them, some basic operations (e.g. and, or, union, intersection) could go a long way.

Relevant note from the lab, right now there's a rotation student whose project involves studying the intersection of [set of virus families present in a given host] and [set of hosts that a given virus infects]. We are doing this manually but a tool like this could allow users to answer this sort of question much quicker.

[This actually requires substantial UI work, so more tasks need to be spec'd]
