If someone finds time, it would be good to include a bit more information on the advisory board on the website, including the roles of me (@propensive), @SethTisue and @odersky, and the two community representatives. We could also link to the blog I wrote a couple of years ago for scala-lang.org.

agree in general; and I think it's especially important to emphasize the two community representatives

fwiw, I see https://scala.epfl.ch/team.html has Martin, but as "Academic Director" — I thought he was "Technical Advisor"

The Technical Advisor role is a board role (and he's elected), so it's a different thing.

for now, what we have is https://github.com/scalacenter/advisoryboard/blob/main/attendees.md , but it doesn't include affiliate members

I had thought I might tackle this, but I think it's a bit out of scope for me, so I've removed my assignment

I don't know how to preview the site locally (that's scala#38), so
perhaps my HTML is mangled -- someone should check that before
merging

partially addresses scala#56

I had a conversation with someone today who's been heavily involved with Scala for many years, but was unaware that 1) the community representatives are voting members of the board, and 2) have the power to submit proposals (that may originate anywhere in the community)

I've submitted #111 which improves the situation a little, but only a little

btw https://www.scala-lang.org/blog/2019/03/18/announcing-new-community-representative.html , published March 2019, did a nice job on this and could be raided for text
