v2.0 status?

I noticed your Release 2.0.0-alpha.1 commit on the 2.0 branch.

Are you planning to publish it on crates.io? Do you have a timetable for 2.0?

I am not sure if it is wise to release it to crates.io before the rc1 stage. Do you know if people will auto-update if it has an alpha or beta suffix?
My current plan is to release 2.0 in a month or two.

Sorry I didn't get back to you last year. In my experience, having an alpha/beta suffix prevents auto-update when you publish it to crates.io.

So yeah, it'd be great if you can publish the alpha/beta, so the community can try it out and give you some feedback.
