What?

Read browser information from snap YAML files instead of reading .desktop files from /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications.

"/var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications",

Why?

Specification: https://snapcraft.io/docs/snap-format

The snap format contains the browser version and executable path so there is no need to execute browser --version to get/parse the actual browser version.
