Generate some properties of added array element dynamically

Let's say I have a schema that contains an array of items, where each item has id and name.

I want id to always be UUIDs. Does RJSF support having the id field generated by a custom function so that when the user clicks the + button to add a new item, the id field is automatically set to a newly generated UUID?
Bonus: Is it also possible to both generate the UUID value upon adding the item and prevent the user from changing it?

I only found similar discussions on stack overflow regarding generating a default date field to dynamically get "current time" as the default value, but the question was not fully answered.
