Possible error filtering?

I am maintaining a plugin called resque-cleaner that allows you to filter failed jobs etc.

I got a similar request. I am happy to work on implementing it on resque-core/web and send PR if...

1. if resque/resque-web team are happy about merging the functionalities

It can be a big work so I want to confirmation that the team are happy to have the feature resque-cleaner has. In actual work, I might split the work to small chunks/PRs but there is no point doing that if the team doesn't want those features at all. I want to hear thoughts from the team at first.

2. if the timing is right

I am not sure what the status of 2.0 is. There is no commit since last summer both on resque and resque-web. No offence - I thank you guys stepping in maintaining the repo. I just thought that the team might want to focus on releasing 2.0 instead of adding more features?
