API fails to connect in mac os 10.11.6 #8

Every call to the API gets ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID error returned.

electron/electron#31368

This kind of looks like it's an issue with mac os 10.11.6 not being supported anymore and so not getting updated certificates from Apple.
