Excluding my own user

I have tried to use the 'exclude-contributors' option as mentioned in the docs:

exclude-contributors

But it did not work for my user, I add the option to my 'release-drafter.yml', as of:

change-template: '- $TITLE @$AUTHOR (#$NUMBER)'
change-title-escapes: '\<*_&' # You can add # and @ to disable mentions, and add ` to disable code blocks.
exclude-contributors:
  - 'evertramos'

my current release drafer.yml

But still brings my user as contributor:

release v0.2.1 - generated by release-drafter

Am I missing something here?

Contributors your referring to is a GitHub releases feature.

Release drafter only lives within the body.

Note that your template, does not include release drafter's $CONTRIBUTORS template variable.

@evertramos So after learning how the GitHub contributor section works.

It only shows contributors if you mention them in the release notes body.

One way would be to modify the templates to have yourself excluded although I do not see the harm in it. You might not always be the maintainer on the repo hence your now a contributor again.

This config should do it.

change-template: '- $TITLE (#$NUMBER)'

exclude-contributors:
  - 'evertramos'

template: |
  $CHANGES
  
  ## Thanks to all the contributors
  
  $CONTRIBUTORS
