One of us will put out a 1.2.0rc3 and perhaps a 1.2.0 release shortly after.

1.2 milestone is tracking issues here: https://github.com/readthedocs/sphinx_rtd_theme/milestone/12

Noted on #1414, but we'll block on readthedocs/readthedocs.org#9654 as the experience for Sphinx 6 users will be mostly guaranteed issues with missing jQuery. The only projects that won't notice a bug here are projects that set sphinx_rtd_theme in extensions explicitly -- likely the minority of projects.
