Problem Description

Currently Rancher Desktop defaults to installing Traefik as the ingress controller. Many users will be more familiar with NGINX, and it would be nice to offer users some choice at install time.

Proposed Solution

Replace the "Install Traefik" checkbox with an "Ingress" listbox with the following:

  • None
  • Traefik (from k3s)
  • Traefik (latest)
  • Nginx (latest)

Suggest using the chart maintained by F5/NGINX: https://github.com/nginxinc/kubernetes-ingress
