It's due to a Vite version mismatch, as you also specified in your newer discussion #15430

What worked for me, without knowing the root cause of the problem, was to change package.json to "vite": "^2.0.0"; delete the node_modules folder; then do "npm install". Then "quasar build" succeeded. Doing the same with yarn did not work!?
