What is the bug or the crash?

QGIS on Mac OS X does not accept year as a valid date

Select features out of an imported dataset:

Try inputting a year:

image

Input not accepted.

according to https://courses.spatialthoughts.com/introduction-to-qgis.html#introduction

This is possible on other operating systems according to this:

Workaround

use a Between 2020-01-01 00:00:00 and 2020-12-31 11:59:59
