setuptools can build locally but doesn't install my modules correctly via repository

When i locally run my setup.py everything gets installed in the right place. When i try it on another machine via pip install git+<link> it runs but doesn't install my package.

Can you provide a link to your project or at least show us your setup.py/setup.cfg? It's pretty much impossible to know what's going on without more information.

It's a function in SwitchManager to start my script.

So you've specified the entrypoint wrong, then. It hits the package __init__.py and you want the module under the package.
