RecursionError with pyinstaller creating an executable file #8295

Sounds like you're using full blown Anaconda containing every package that pandas shouldn't optionally depend on but does anyway. Even if you got past the recursion error, your application would likely be huge. Build in a clean virtual environment. |

How on Earth did you end up with that spec file? Did ChatGPT hallucinate it for you? It's full of non-existing options, and that "Insert the recursion limit adjustment code into the beginning of the script" is just plain wrong. If you want to raise the recursion limit, you need to add
to the .spec file itself, so that the limit is raised for the PyInstaller's analysis within the same process that is executing the .spec file. |

Hello Community,
I can't convert the following code with pyinstaller into an executable file. I also tried to alter my customspec.spec file with:
import sys
sys.setrecursionlimit(5000) # Adjust the recursion limit to a specific value
"""
I always receive a RecursionError:
"A RecursionError (maximum recursion depth exceeded) occurred.
For working around please follow these instructions" ...
My program searches in word files for Ident Pattern and saves them in an excel file, it works if I execute it with a compiler.
The code I want to convert is the following:
My customspec.spec file looks the following:
Thanks for your help :)
