Is there a setting for multi-line short circuit expressions?

I have this small piece of code here:

if (doesPassInitialChecks(titleLine)) {
      return (
         doesPassBasicChecks(titleLine)
         || doesPassConventionChecks(titleLine)
      );
   }

When I format it, it becomes this:

if (doesPassInitialChecks(titleLine)) {
      return (
         doesPassBasicChecks(titleLine) || doesPassConventionChecks(titleLine)
      );
   }

It doesn't look as nice. Is there a setting to preserve the line break for short circuit expressions? I'm in VS Code, I haven't found a built in setting for it. Maybe there's a config option, though.
