Missing SQLType STRUCT in pgJDBC

PG allows to declare usertype by command CREATE TYPE which detects in ResultSetMetaData.getColumnType as SQLType 2002 (STRUCT).
But in PGResultSet function
public @nullable T getObject(int columnIndex, Class type)
there is no this type. By some indefinite reason it compares with Array type but not STRUCT.
Also these SQLType is necessary for my CustomUserType in Hibernate but I doubt it will work without this support in PGResultSet.

Can anybody explain the fact of missing SQLType STRUCT, strange matching in getObject method and the possible way of "native" mapping a postgresql user type (SQLType 2002 / STRUCT) with hibernate in Java? Which in Postgres looks like
create type mytype as (
si bigint,
flag boolean,
dt date,
title varchar
);
"Native" means mapping by PG specific method, not by the famous stupid converting to string and parsing it.

Yes, it is missing. We have a Google Summer of Code project to address this. Hopefully this year it works out

well sorta.... Google Summer of Code is a place where students can earn money working on open source. This is a fairly advanced project. It hasn't started yet. Might be interesting if you wanted to help mentor?
