Otherwise on Windows git may decide to convert eol to CRLF, which breaks Go 1.18 fuzzer.

Follow up to #754 to merge those changes without removing the
fixesbranch, so that the Go team can investigate the fuzzer issue on Windows (golang/go#52268).
