[Request] Prevent Partitions from being overwritten

Hi,

We are currently using TE2 to deploy our models to ACC and PRD. In production, we usually partition the models and want to keep those currently in production. Is it possible to add this for PBI-Tools as well?

That's already how pbi-tools works out-of-the-box. Do you have a specific question about how to set up the project?

I should clarify that this automatic handling of partitions relates to incremental refresh partitions. Is your use case about manually maintained Prod partitions, ones without a refresh policy attached?

Yes, this is the case. We manage partitions (Create / Merge / Delete and Refresh) in Power BI based on logic inside the database and some of them are "really" big models, we don't want to risk overriding those.
