Parcel API / Plugin examples

The documentation for using the Parcel API to make plugins would benefit from a few examples that show where script files are placed and how they are executed.
The description for Parcel 1 explained how scripts in the package.json file were used. The corresponding description for Parcel 2 refers the reader to another page where the basic mechanics of putting the plugin script into a file and getting it to execute are not described.
