Our general thinking at Gruntwork:

  • If something is broken or a feature is missing, please file a bug.
  • If it's a critical issue (e.g., severe bug), we'll fix it ASAP.
  • If it's a very commonly requested change (e.g., a new feature most customers want), we'll try to prioritize it quickly too.
  • If it's not commonly requested, but still generally useful for enough customers, we very much welcome PRs.
  • If it's not commonly requested, and would not be useful to most customers (e.g., something very specific to one company's use cases), then it's probably best to fork the code, and update your local copy.
