Based on the list from #1978, together with the mentors, decide which languages we'll tackle and in which order. Things to consider:

Familiarity with the language
How well documented is the process for new contributors

Tasks involved:

Join the Slack channels for each target language
Decide together with the maintainers for that SIG which bridges to implement
Get familiar with the code base (read the contributing guidelines, run the automated tests locally, ...)
