Chat extract from the Egeria slack channel

On the topic of building mapping examples, I am very enthusiastic about it. Do you think it belongs with the type definitions or in a separate section. I have an incomplete page that I started but was unsure whether a separate page was useful https://egeria-project.org/guides/developer/mapping-technology/

In my humble option, I think a better choice for showing mapping examples is to take the most typical samples in each technology area to show how the types from different modeling areas can work together.
When I browsed the docs, I learned a lot of concepts but always wondered how types work together. The figure, https://egeria-project.org/services/omas/data-manager/relational-database-open-metadata-types.svg, is an excellent modeling example in my eyes. It saved my life.
When we provide a modeling example for representing file assets, a scenario of a TXT file stored in a VM might be good. This page, https://egeria-project.org/guides/developer/mapping-technology/, provides fragments of a practical scenario. We could add a URL linking another page to it to show how these fragments work in a realistic scenario.
If a user is interested in a specific type, they could take this page, https://egeria-project.org/guides/developer/mapping-technology/, to know how the type is used in some technologies. When they seriously consider taking Egeria to model their assets, they will be interested in how to model their asset from the infrastructure to the schema layer.
Thanks,

.
