There's a nasty sharp edge in Mastodon - especially for users who are members of small servers - in that often you will only see a subset of the replies to a post, as you will only be shown replies that your server has previously cached.

The current workaround for that is to click though to view the original post on its own instance - but Pinafore doesn't have an easy enough way of doing that. You have to copy the post URL and then paste it into a new browser tab.

A "Open original page" link in this menu would help a lot here:

For comparison, here's that menu in the official Mastodon web client:

the menu item here is called open original page
