Facing Issue with the custom command using async/await

An issue with the approach using async/await custom command as per the below link-

I have tried the piece of my test code in the test block using async/await , the code is working fine and synchronously as expected, but the same code is when I am trying in custom command using async/await as suggested in the doc available on nightwatch's site, it is behaving asynchronously. little weird and stuck quite long in it, can someone please help or check from their end?

Hey @anupamtomar will it be possible to share an example of a custom command? Also, it is advised to use class-based custom commands.

Sure, here is the example-

Only Actual Locators, variables, and objects are replaced with dummy ones, the rest of the things are as it is-

Moreover, Tried with class-based custom commands too, same behavior if using async/await.
