We see this on Circle CI now:

Exception occurred:

  File "/usr/local/lib/python3.6/typing.py", line 1506, in get_type_hints

    base_globals = sys.modules[base.__module__].__dict__

KeyError: 'pybind11_builtins'

This is discussed in sphinx-doc/sphinx#8084
