Guys. Waiting for PROs to comment on this issue. I saw a few users reporting this issue in the mailing list as well. |
@karthikus You're running an outdated kernel on your system and you're also running an old version of Docker. Please update the kernel to the latest kernel version provided by the CentOS repos. A CentOS 6 box I'm running is running kernel 2.6.32-431.17.1.el6 and that's newer than what you're running. Always update to the latest kernel packages provided by your Linux distribution - that applies to everyone who's running RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu and many other Linux distributions which provide kernel packages with long term support. Please update Docker to Docker 1.0. 0.11.1 and older aren't supported any more. I'll close this issue now since we don't provide support for CentOS 6. CentOS 7 should be out soon and that should be much better. |
I have updated the kernel to the latest version and CentOS to 6.5 but still having this issue. And docker update shows me no package to update. Is the Docker 1.0 build released for CentOS ? |
I can confirm that this issue is not CentOS related, I am having it on Ubuntu 14.04
Can we please re-open this issue? Example output:
|
All roads for me currently seem to point to this as the core problem |
This is also happening on Fedora 24, kernel 4.6.7, EXT4 formatted SSD with LUKS, docker 1.12.0-rc4. Can this be reopened? Someone else also mentioned seeing this on Ubuntu, and this has been popping up for a while now. Or is this a catch all error for all sorts of hidden, unrelated filesystem issues?

centos 7 & docker 1.10.3 [4751446.951119] dev_remove: 37 callbacks suppressed |
same error i'm getting with centos 7.0 and 3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64 |
Same error here with Centos 7.2 and 3.10.0-327.36.3.el7.x86_64 sudo service docker start |
Guys , issue been solved for me by updating my kernel as well as Docker Engine ... thanks... |
Indeed. I had to reboot my server in order to restart my daemon properly. Now it's working again. |
I have been experimenting with Docker commands and now, when i run the following command,
docker run -i -t 0c752394b855 echo "ThisIsTest"
where "0c752394b855" is the image ID of the centOS image(but works on Fedora image), i get the following error.
Error: Error mounting '/dev/mapper/docker-253:0-1050490-5e3f19abff6825c39e0e51b0dd78b3f77d12cae354ebce97110ec8a36e3b9689-init'

When i deleted all the centos images and pulled one using
sudo docker pull centos
I get an error -
