What is the best way to set default time out for docker client ?

I am using golang docker client API and I tried to add default timeout for it. I found that I could use client.WithDialer to change http client transport's DialContext:

But once I changed the DialContext, it will lost something in defaultHTTPClient. For example. I have to parse unix addr again because the sockets.ConfigureTransport only change Transport.Dial. So I want to ask for a better way to set client default timeout. Thanks.

Actually I want to change defaultHTTPClient's Timeout, so it seems that I could only copy the code to build http.Client and use WithHTTPClient.
