I know that this is valid: - Home: index.md

- 'Nested Page': 'somepage.md'
- 'Nested Parent':
- 'Nested page': `someotherpage.md` But this is not? - Home: index.md
- Parent:

- 'Nested Child Page': 'someotherpage2.md' This is what I was trying to do, but received the error - Hardware:

your third example shows a section nested in a page:
so this isn't allowed. Only sections can have subsections. Pages can't be sections at the same time.
mkdocs-material
plugin uses a trick and allows to merge index pages into the section in the navigation, but this still wouldn't let you use the example provided: https://squidfunk.github.io/mkdocs-material/setup/setting-up-navigation/#section-index-pagesRemove a bit of the indentation from
- S4048-ON:
so it has the same indentation level as- hardware/dell-emc/dell-emc.md
and adjust the rest of the entries.
