Visual defect when scrolling across text that is longer than a screen width (macOS)

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

• VS Code Version: 1.87.0 (but this has been happening for a few weeks)
• OS Version: macOS Sonoma 14.3

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Scroll off the edge of the screen
2. Scroll back to the first column (at a reasonable speed - this doesn't work if you scroll back at snails pace)
3. The first few columns of text are not visible and only become visible if you click or scroll vertically.
