grpc client with consul discovery: help with programatic way to create clients

What I'm trying to do:
So in the grpc micronault guide it says to inject a client as a bean into the code by doing the following:

@Singleton
@Bean
GreeterGrpc.GreeterStub greeterStub(
    @GrpcChannel("greeter")
    ManagedChannel channel) {
    return GreeterGrpc.newStub(
            channel
    );
}

My question:
Is there a way to accomplish the same thing in mn without having to use the GrpcChannel annotation and just say the consul service name? That would be a huge help to be because I want to use consul to register multiple versions of the same service definition.

I was looking at the codebase, and the only code I saw that creates this managed channel is in io.micronaut.grpc.channels.GrpcChannelBuilderFactory

However, due to the lack of exposing that functionality, the only way I can see doing this is by changing the consul code to create an exposed function - but that feels wrong to do.

Is there a way I can do this without using the annotation?

I was able to find the code that does this action and extracted the class to have the functionality I wanted.

There's still a single issue that I'll open a ticket for: the micronaut code breaks with the newest grpc version. It's not in the main branch yet, not sure if there's a ticket for it.
