Expectation

CommonMark Demo: demo

Using asterisks for emphasis for a quote starting with a quotation mark.

Result

Marked Demo: demo

The asterisks aren't parsed as emphasis and instead left as-is.

What was attempted

Works with underscore for emphasis: demo
