Custom error message "Best Practice Code Example" wrong/out of date?

I'm on v1.10.2 (latest as of today).

SimpleSchema.messageBox.messages({   // *
  en: {
    passwordMismatch: 'Passwords do not match',
  },
});

MySchema = new SimpleSchema({
  password:
  ...

* ERROR: SimpleSchema.messageBox doesn't exist for me on this first line – did I miss something?
