Hi @Goodwine. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes-sigs member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

I'll file a ticket because the CLA still appears as unmarked even after updating my data to my work email address

Thanks for the fixes and the detailed description of the problem in the attached issue! I agree with these changes, and the test coverage looks good. Would you mind moving the test cases to kyaml/kio/byteio_readwriter_test.go and adjusting them to not involve the framework (maybe not Results either, up to you), since the coverage is really of kio wrapping behavior?

Goodwine commented Nov 8, 2021

I moved over the tests removing references to framework, I decided to leave a Results-related test because I want to make sure that Results is not dropped when passing through the read-writer (before this PR the results were getting dropped)
