Polygon has “swap for gas” feature, which helps users from another chain (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, Klaytn) settle in Polygon chain.
Users from another chain would have bridged their asset to Polygon but may not have MATIC. In that case, the users cannot do anything until they get MATIC token from somewhere else.
Polygon solved this problem by having a gas-less transaction, enabling one to swap some tokens to MATIC without paying any gas fees.
By this, users can start exploring Polygon chain dapps without barriers.
I believe this feature can be adapted to Klaytn chain. I heard some people who do not have experience in Klaytn chain but play the Klaytn-based P2E game could not swap their game token to KLAY, because they do not have KLAY.
I also experienced this problem when I played Stepn, where I did not have SOL so I could not swap the game tokens.
If we have the swap for gas feature, we may attract users who are interested in Klaytn chain but do not participate because they do not have KLAY, by providing them with swapping other tokens to KLAY without the gas fee.
This feature may be integrated with some bridges and in-app games, so they may feel comfortable using Klaytn chain.
