Community contribution guidelines

Details

Put the new contribution policy into the contribution guide whereever it fits best.
The policy should be documented in the contribution guide and referenced in CONTRIBUTING.md.

New Policy

• expected timeline for a ticket
  • we expect activity on the issue in form of code/research/etc. within a week after assignment of an issue
  • if there is 3 weeks of inactivity in a PR it will be closed and the corresponding issue unassigned
  • communication is key :) (either on the PR or on the issue)
• collaboration is always appreciated
• in general, you should work on one issue at a time
