maintainers and status of project

Hi,

Thank you very much for the work and time invested into this.

It seems the project has not been updated for a long time. From my use case, some fixes provided by kind people that are in PR have yet to be merged.

There or a lot of others PR in waiting also. This cause us at least to fork and use unofficial fork of the project which is not desired.

If any of the maintainer of the project is reading this, It would be very much appreciate some maintenance release or a helping and calling for new maintainers that will contribute in PR reviews and merging.

If this project does no longer have active maintenance, can someone with the necessary rights at least mark this repo read-only so folks checking the readme are aware of this?

#218 should allow release to be driven by successful post-commit tests.
