Right now it is not possible to do typescript syntax highlighting with rouge since rouge version is locked to
s.add_dependency(%q<rouge>, ["~> 1.7"])

Rouge version 2.0 adds several more language support for syntax highlighting which are not possible with version before 2

You are absolutely right.

This is a known issue. We are working on it. #5919
