Bug description

Error when trying to create a new Trinity Wallet with Ledger Nano X, generating addresses is aborted, error message: Node error - the node returned an error while fetching your account information. If your problem persits, try changing node or disabling your system proxy in Trinity Settings.

Version

Which version of Trinity are you running? (Please provide the full version, you can find it in Settings > About Trinity).

Trinity Wallet 1.6.1, IOTA app 0.5.5 from ledger, firmware 1.2.4-5 and Microcontroller 2.10 on Ledger Nano X

Hardware specification

What hardware are you using?

  • Mobile or Desktop: Desktop

  • Device: HP Pavillion

  • OS and version: Windows 10

  • RAM (Desktop only):

  • Number of cores (Desktop only):

Node Settings (delete if not relevant)

What are your node settings? Are you using automatic node management? Yes but also tried it to do manual, also disabled system proxy settings as suggested

Steps To reproduce the bug

Explain how the maintainer can reproduce the bug.

  1. with a ledger nano X try to restore ledger account to a new trinity wallet
  2. fetching addressis is in progress and after a certain time, the process is aborted and not trinity wallet is created, the above Node Error is displayed

Expected behaviour

Trinity Wallet should be created, by the way, works with a Ledger Nano S

this is the full error message desplayed in the right upper corner

Node error - the node returned an error while fetching your account information. If your problem persits, try changing node or disabling your system proxy in Trinity Settings.

where would i find the error log?

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. The error log can be accessed by clicking "Trinity" in the top-left and then clicking the error log.
