Jaweria asked how to query for 'good' ephys sessions. Collecting the various notebook tutorials in iblenv would help, also adding a section about Alyx queries that include spike QC?

@GaelleChapuis what are your thoughts? Perhaps there is already documentation about this?

I do not think we have good documentation on this.
There are 2 ways:

  1. use the bwm paper query

  2. use a Django filter to remove insertions for with their qc / the session qc is CRITICAL. If the aim is only to find insertions with good raw ephys data, this would be sufficient. We do not have QC at the level of spike sorting.

  • Note: One would need to query for a project code (I reckon the brain wide map, otherwise it's personal project data), and also confirm that the behavior is not a required criteria for selection (otherwise, add it into the Django filter).
  • Note: it would be nice to use the internal alyx database, but this would mean potentially citing more authors upon publication. If one is against this, simply use the bwm query on openalyx.
