iOS and iCloud perform some kind of basic reverse geocoding - for example, a photo taken at 51 deg 30' 25.58" N, 0 deg 5' 31.33" W will be displayed above the photo in iCloud as "London - Southwark".
Is there any way to get this basic location information written to the EXIF location tags?
The reason I ask is because if I know the date of a photo and the location then I can start to group photos into slightly more logical albums - for example, if I've visited London for a couple of days then I can put all the photos into a "London" folder.
I've looked for "reverse offline reverse geocode" but the solutions are fairly complex and, if Apple has already done this reverse geocode, then it would hopefully be a fairly simple piece of work to have that included in the image file.
