We've already kicked-off Checkmate's allow-list with a widened version of a list of all annotated domains extracted from h, plus a list of the 1000 most popular sites found on Google. Import more lists of known safe sites that people are likely to want to annotate. Ideas:

  • Safe two-letter TLD's (apparently .va and .qa?) (believed safe because sites can't be registered by individuals?)
  • Educational and academic
  • Military and government sites
  • Newspapers and scholarly, educational and publisher sites
  • Other categories?

There's some notes about this idea in this Google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WZnMtHS4QD24GDcpbilQAufpmqTUMNdGmf3fBqCK4W4/
