I am trying to mimic the behaviour of the
git checkout branch
command when there are files on the current branch that have not been commited. Normally what you would expect is to see something like the following:However, with my current setup in Go I seem to bypass this error message and checkout a new branch despite not commiting or stashing my existing changes. I've included the essential workflow that I am following below, but if necessary I can try to create a minimum working example if I have more time. It's unclear to me if this is a bug, or if I am missing a step.
