Support INP

Problem Statement

Sentry should add INP as a supported web vital to track.

Some Previous INP + web vitals upgrade work:

• feat(perf-vitals): Add INP feature flag #39029
• feat(tracing): Update to Web Vitals v3 sentry-javascript#5987

User interactions:

• Auto-instrument user interactions as transactions sentry-javascript#5750
• Auto-instrument user interactions as transactions sentry-javascript#6941

Discussion:

• Is there any plan to add INP support? sentry-javascript#6149
• RFC: INP Collection Strategy in Browser SDKs sentry-javascript#7765

Solution Brainstorm

There are two paths we can take here.

1. Fix dom selectors and attach INP to user interaction transactions
2. Flush INP directly via DDM
