Fractal understands that its own internal naming vocabulary may not match a users own conventions, so allows you to configure it so that it does. Currently, you can change:

  • Folder names: for example you can use /modules instead of /components
  • Navigation group labels: for example you can rename ‘Documentation’ to ‘Guides’

However, you can’t configure the first segment of the URL used by the web theme. So, were you you to have a /src/things folder containing your components, and the respective UI label to read ‘Things’, the URL to your modules would still read localhost:3000/components/…. The inability to configure theme URLs feels at odds with the overall nature of this software.

Internationalisation may be another use case that would necessitate changing these URLs segments.
