It is not currently possible to customize a theme's appearance (e.g. font-size) without forking / injecting CSS.
Proposal
In the spirit of separating markup from styling, we should make it possible for "power users" to provide custom styling. This would permit users to consume themes without needing to understand exactly how to fork and build a theme
