Any chance #13579 can be part of this release? I feel like this PR is fine as-is (since august), but has been forgotten by the ESLint team.

Hi @remcohaszing! The proposed rule change #13579 isn't accepted yet. Per our process, rule changes need a champion and three 👍 from the team. I'll notify team members to see if anyone else would like to support the proposal, otherwise we'll have to close it.
